The College Fund is looking for a talented Sr People Operations (HR) Generalist who will ramp us to being top notch in all matters HR. This includes all parts of the employee lifecycle of hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee experience, and offboarding. The Team: You’d be joining the People Operations team of 3. We are lean, effective, and focused on ensuring our values are embedded in how we support our staff who do the day-to-day work of forwarding our mission. What you’ll do: We are looking for a proactive, scrappy, detail and results-oriented Senior Generalist to improve and execute core operations systems, processes and products. We are searching for someone with a proven track record of rolling up their sleeves to identify, correct and improve existing HR processes. This individual will co-own fundamental generalist responsibilities with a focus on executing payroll correctly and timely, ensuring we are compliant across all state, federal, and local regions we staff, and fostering a world-class people operations relationship with staff. This role reports into the People Operations Director and is not expected to travel. This position is based in Denver with an expectation to come into the office 3 times a week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process semi-monthly and any special payroll accurately and timely.
- Provide operational excellence with our HCM, Paycor for maximum People Ops & Staff.
- Audit, correct, and maintain federal, state and employment compliance
- Support Open Enrollment and general benefits staff inquiries.
- Support and manage leaves of absence and ADA cases.
- Advise and support team leaders on various topics, including employment law and government regulations, performance management, team morale, and various policies (e.g., FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, etc.)
- Support Director of People Operations with Employee Relations & Investigations
- Audit, improve and manage people operations electronic filing systems
- Support training and professional development activities such as handling course meeting logistics and preparation
- Mentor and support HR Associates.
- Prepare internal employee communications for a variety of HR functions
- DEI Full Cycle: sourcing, scheduling, interviewing, closing.
- Interview Kit development and management.
- World Class Candidate Experience.
- Scale Native community pipeline.
- ATS and Data Management.
- Own pre-start date onboarding process: data collection, IT set up, and orientation schedule.
- Provide top notch 1st Day experience while ensuring 30/60/90 day plans are developed and executed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of People Operations / HR-related experience
- Expertise in Paycor as an HCM + ATS
- Knowledge of federal HR compliance law and ability to learn state specific laws
- Experience thriving in fast paced ambiguity.
- A focus on embedding DEIB into all practices and processes of People Operations
- Eagerness to build and drive positive employee engagement across the organization with trust and high confidentiality
- An ability to build and maintain organized and repeatable routine work
- A sense of urgency while balancing multiple changing priorities.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- SHRM and/or NNAHRA THRP Certification
- Talent Acquisition experience
- Start up or full people operations ownership experience
- Personal and/or professional lived experience in Native Indigenous communities
