JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, direct all activities and staff pertaining to facilities, maintenance, and housekeeping services in accordance with pertinent standards, regulations, and policies and procedures which includes but is not limited to: bids and contracts; budgets; managing the facilities engineering and planning improvement projects; supervision of professional consultants and other contract personnel; ensure facilities compliance with pertinent healthcare building codes, accreditation standards, OSHA, and contractual work specifications; and oversee emergency facilities operational initiatives and plans.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the daily operations, maintenance, repair, construction, and housekeeping functions for clinic facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient environment with minimal disruption to patient care. Establishes work order procedures, preventative maintenance schedules, and department priorities while supervising staff performance, training, evaluations, hiring, and corrective actions.
  • Manages vendor and contractor relationships, negotiates contracts, reviews bids and specifications, and oversees construction and remodeling projects from planning through completion.
  • Develops departmental goals, policies, budgets, and operational reports; monitors expenditures and project costs; and provides leadership recommendations to improve operational efficiency, facility performance, and patient satisfaction. Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • oordinates emergency preparedness activities, safety programs, drills, and compliance with safety standards and regulations in collaboration with the Safety Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Facilities, Mechanical, Construction Engineering, or a related field required;
  • OR International Facilities Management Association Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification. Minimum five (5) years of directly related facilities management experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in English and Keres preferred. Experience working with Indian Health Services (IHS), Tribal organizations, or Tribal communities preferred.
