JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the administration of tribal land assignments and overseeing housing assistance programs for the Prairie Island Indian Community. This position coordinates land assignment processes, transfers, beneficiary documentation, and land use compliance while providing oversight of housing assistance programs funded through federal and state grants. The Land Services Manager works closely with community members, and external agencies to ensure effective land governance and access to housing resources for tribal members.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the primary contact for land services and housing program inquiries from tribal members
- Administers the tribal land assignment system including assignment transfers, relinquishments, beneficiary changes, home site completion extensions, and land distribution documentation
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, land management, urban planning, Tribal Governance, or related field
- OR A combination of education and professional experience totaling six (6) years in tribal land administration, housing programs, real estate, construction, land management, or government program administration
- Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in land administration, program administration, real estate transactions, property management, or public sector program management.
