ABOUT THE TMP PROGRAM
The Tribal Management Professional (TMP) certification is a comprehensive, three-day program designed to enhance participants’ managerial skills and capabilities in a culturally sensitive and contextually relevant manner.
This interactive program provides resources to support successful leadership in tribal government and enterprise settings. The target audience is seasoned leaders, entry-level supervisors, and all in between.
Certification is obtained through in-person participation, with attendance verified each of the three days. A 50-question exam is taken on the 3rd day of the session with a required pass rate of 65%. Certification is maintained by taking a minimum of 24 hours of NNAHRA-approved educational programs every two years.
The TMP Certification Training provides 22 hours of credit toward NNAHRA’s Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) I & II recertification.
Open sessions are offered 3–4 times per year, and tribal organizations also have the option to contract with NNAHRA to host the training onsite at their
location.
