JOB TITLE: Senior Consultant for Organizational Development Program
SALARY: $117K-$137K + Generous Benefits
LOCATION: Remote within United States, with preference for Western United States
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, 100% Full Time Equivalent (FTE) in U.S. All employees are expected to work eight-hour days Monday through Friday, typically between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain or Pacific Time (MT/PST). This position sometimes requires evening and weekend work and includes a flex time policy. This position requires regular (up to 20% time) travel for client meetings, trainings, and staff meetings and includes overnight stays, as well as significant virtual communication with client partners and staff via phone, video conferencing, email, and internal communication systems, and adherence to TREC’s remote work policies and procedures.

JOB OVERVIEWTREC is seeking an experienced senior consultant who is passionate about supporting the innate capacities of individuals and teams through holistic and strategic consulting support and guidance. This role will provide organizational development (OD) consulting across TREC’s ten core consulting areas.Candidates for this position will have more than 10 years’ combined experience in a non-profit leadership senior management position or nonprofit consulting.APPLY To apply, please send a cover letter and your resume to jobs@trec.org. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidates for this position will have more than 10 years’ combined experience in a non-profit leadership senior management position or nonprofit consulting.
- Being lead contact for approximately 12 client partners, including conducting annual health reviews and consulting both virtually and on site
- Facilitating meetings and trainings for client partners
- One-on-one consultative support for leaders, staff and Board Members on emergent issues.
- Developing and delivering custom trainings for client partners on topics across our consulting areas
- Developing 2-4 resources annually for core offering areas as determined by applicant’s experience for our resource library and writing a blog on each highlighting them.
- Hosting 1-2 webinars annually on the topic of core offering areas as determined by experience and expertise
- Attending bi-monthly virtual staff meetings, bi-monthly virtual OD team meetings, an annual in-person OD Team meeting, and an annual in-person all staff meeting.
- Engaging in professional development and personal learnings around leadership, D.E.I., or other relevant organizational development skills and topics
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years in senior leadership role at a nonprofit and/or as a nonprofit consultant
- Experience in at least eight of TREC’s ten core consulting areas, significant expertise in at least three of these areas, and at least 5 years’ experience in one area
- Experience designing and delivering capacity building workshops and services as a consultant or staff member
- Significant experience working across difference and desire to understand the impact of identity in experience, systems, and roles in service to supporting diverse ways of knowing and being
- Willingness and ability to travel around North America, primarily in the West, including remote or sparsely populated places, to meet with clients and attend TREC staff meetings
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with Indigenous and Native entities
- Experience in campaigns and organizing
- Experience in the environmental and/or conservation sector
- Experience as an Executive Director
