JOB SUMMARY:
The Tribal Council Administrator supports the efficient daily operations of the Tribal Council and Governor’s offices by performing key administrative duties and ensuring clear communication of Council decisions. This role involves coordinating council activities, maintaining confidentiality, managing records, and representing the Council to Pueblo of Isleta departments, businesses, and external entities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administrative Oversight: Supervises and supports Tribal Council administrative staff, providing guidance on office procedures and task management. Oversees the Council’s calendar and schedules all meetings, events, and activities.
- Council Coordination: Facilitates communication between the Tribal Council and Pueblo departments, businesses, boards, committees, and external agencies. Manages inquiries and responds to requests in a timely, professional manner.
- Meeting Support: Attends Tribal Council meetings, records notes, and tracks action items. Assists in preparing minutes and agendas, coordinating with the Tribal Council Secretary for final approval and distribution.
- Document Management: Prepares and reviews correspondence, reports, resolutions, ordinances, and other documents for accuracy and clarity. Maintains Council records and archives, ensuring easy retrieval and confidentiality of sensitive information.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required, with a college degree preferred. Five years of relevant administrative experience, preferably within a tribal organization.
- Certifications: Notary Public certification required. Must pass a background check and comply with the Pueblo of Isleta Drug-Free Workplace policy.
