Accountant I

SALARY:

$50,000 – $75,000

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on, and self-motivated Accountant with skills and experience to contribute to the Accounting Department. This individual will provide administrative coordination of the Accounting Department and other accounting functions to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate financial processing of information and financial reporting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs monthly account reconciliations, including bank accounts, A/R, A/P, payroll, ledgers
  • Prepares, reviews, and posts journal entries.
  • Compliance with GAAP and organizational policies
  • Assists in preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Administers and maintains purchase order and procurement systems
  • Supports the Accounting Manager with budget preparation, and varies other duties

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree in accounting business administration, or a related field
  • At least five years progressive accounting experience
  • Valid drivers license with no DWI’s in past five years
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background investigation

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred with three years exp.
