Responsibilities:
Leads and directs the HR function for the casino, including recruitment, development, employee programs, compliance, training, and reporting as required. Participates as a member of the management team to set property goals as well as the drafting of policy and processes to achieve them. Collaborate with Catawba Nation Gaming Commission to ensure policies, tools, and programs meet the needs of the property. Will ensure effective implementation of corporate programs and assist in change management initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in area of study for Human Resources or Business Administration
- A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years management experience, including previous casino experience in a generalist role
- PHR or SPHR preferred
Description Summary
The Director of HR leads and directs the HR function and acts as a strategic partner and member of
the management team. Responsible for overseeing all HR functions including hourly recruitment,
employee relations, development, employee programs, compliance, training and reporting as
required. The Director of HR will establish and maintain appropriate relationships with the
Catawba Nation Gaming Commission, and other stakeholders. Directs and manages HR operations
in accordance with applicable Catawba Nation Gaming Commission regulations and North Carolina
State regulations, as applicable, company policies, internal controls, and standard operating
procedures.
