The USCIS has just released an updated version of Form I-9 with edition date August 1, 2023 . The new version must be used for all new hires on or after November 1, 2023. Until that date, you may use the new version or the most recent prior version containing revision date October 21, 2019. Among its changes, the new version has reduced Sections 1 and 2 to only one page, as well as updating the list of acceptable documents to include some acceptable receipts.
