JOB SUMMARY:

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the daily leadership, operation, and supervision of the Information Technology Department. This role manages IT staff, systems, vendors, and service delivery to ensure reliable, secure, and effective technology operations across the organization.The IT Manager serves as the primary operational lead for information technology and is designated to assume the full duties and authority of the Information Technology Director in the Director’s absence or if the position is vacant, ensuring continuity of operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees daily IT operations, including networks, servers, systems, hardware, software, cybersecurity controls, and end-user support.
  • Directly supervises the Information Technology Technician.
  • Implements IT strategies, standards, policies, and directives established by the Information Technology Director.
  • Coordinates and oversees technology installations, upgrades, maintenance, and system improvements.
  • Monitors system performance, reliability, and security; identifies issues and implements corrective actions.
  • Manages help desk operations, ticket prioritization, escalation, and service delivery standards.
  • Participates in IT budget planning and monitors operational expenditures.
  • Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity procedures, and reports results to the Information Technology Director.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in an IT environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing IT infrastructure, systems, and end-user support.
  • Experience overseeing vendors, contracts, and technology projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of network administration, systems security, and IT operations.
