JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing all Tribal Grants operation activities and initiatives. In addition, we strive to deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and fellow Team Members. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the functions and day-to-day activities of the Tribal-wide grants program to ensure grant compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Ensures the proper application of Federal regulations and agency policies and processes including 2 CFR 200 and federal programs including FEMA, HUD ICDBG, IIJA, BRIC and ARPA requirements for all Tribal grants.
  • Responds to program staff inquiries on administrative, financial, or programmatic issues related to pre-award and post-award activities (e.g., risk analysis, grant monitoring).
  • Maintain a grant calendar and carefully track grants submitted, awarded, and currently active.
  • Conduct and facilitate complex and diverse grant-related projects including long-term projects requiring advanced research and analytical skills; develop action plans and communications strategies in order to meet program goals and objectives and foster positive change management.
  • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for compliance with federal grants management regulations; and user manuals, guidelines and other documentation related to eGrant systems; grant seeking, and grant proposal development.
  • Implement and maintain ongoing software upgrades for project tracking systems to ensure the timely preparation of grant applications and implementation of grant requirements; provide departments with assistance in the implementation of grant funded projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five (5) years (or equivalent) Supervisory/Management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars and laws passed by Congress concerning grants management.
  • Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS), Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other grants management or professional certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing, preferably with federal, state and local governments, tribal and/or territorial agencies.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Five (5) years (or equivalent) Supervisory/Management experience.
