DESCRIPTION:The Tribal Management Professional (TMP) certification is a comprehensive\, three-day program designed to enhance participants’ managerial skills and capabilities in a culturally sensitive and contextually relevant manner. Modules include Talent Acquisition; Behavioral Interviewing; Performance Evaluation; Employee Engagement; and Leadership Development. This is an interactive program providing resources in support of successful leadership in tribal government and enterprise settings. The target audience is seasoned leaders entry-level supervisors and all in between. Human Resources and Training Professionals for train-the-trainer support. Certification is obtained through in-person participation with attendance verified each of the three days. A 50-question exam is taken on the 3rd day of the session with a required pass rate of 65%. Certification is maintained by taking a minimum of 24 hours of NNAHRA-approved educational programs every two years. Mr. Moore is the Director of the National Native American Human Resource Association (NNAHRA) Foundation with focus on education\, training\, and research in support of Indian Country HR/OD. Tal recently served the Kalispel Tribe of Indians as their Chief Organizational Development Officer. In this role\, he supported a team of 2000 team members in government\, gaming\, resort\, food and beverage and many ancillary enterprises through Talent Acquisition\, Learning & Development\, Tribal Member Career and Succession Planning and HR Administrative transactions and transformations. Mr. Moore served Navajo Nation’s Fort Defiance Indian Hospital as the Chief Administration Officer and the Sandia Pueblo as their HR Director. Tal has served over 250 Tribes in a consulting capacity as Director of Development for the Falmouth Institute and as Principal for REDW. \nMr. Moore earned his Bachelor’s in Family and Consumer Sciences and a Master of Arts in Organizational Development. Tal served the academic world as an Assistant Professor of Family and Consumer Sciences and Director of the Hospitality Institute at the University of Central Missouri for nine years.
